Your gift to our Annual Fund will enable thousands of domestic abuse victims to make a valiant start on their journeys toward safety. Your generosity will support our Moms and Kids group program, individual and family counseling, court supportive services, parenting skills education groups, on-going support groups – all of these critical services that help survivors to end the cycle of violence, to build healthier family relationships and to plan for a safer future.

Make a regular gift
Regular gifts allow us to plan ahead and offer the long-term commitment survivors of domestic abuse need to improve their lives.
- $1,000 funds a 5-week Mom and Kids or Teens Witness group
- $500 provides four nights of shelter and program services for a mother and her two children
- $250 provides a woman and her children one month of counseling
- $100 provides 8 hours of crisis hotline coverage
- $50 provides a court advocate to help a woman petition for an emergency Order of Protection and return for a Plenary Order of Protection
Every dollar you donate helps Family Shelter Service provide these life-changing services to victims and their children and allows them to live violence free lives. We appreciate your support!

Host a Cooking for Comfort luncheon/dinner
Create a comfortable and enjoyable get-together with friends and connect with others who want to feel safe and secure in their homes. Nothing warms the heart and soul like delicious comfort foods that remind us of a special place, home or friends. The concept is simple…invite your guests to join you in supporting Family Shelter. You choose the size of your group large or small. Simply plan a cozy meal with friends and celebrate the comforts of home as a Cooking for Comfort host. Keep it simple with recipes you treasure…or ask us for recipe ideas. The important thing is to know that you are helping women and children who don’t always know the joy of comforting foods and who are often away from friends and family. Got stuff? We welcome you to bring your gently used clothing, dishes, houseware, linens, jewelry, accessories and other miscellaneous items to our resale shops. Our resale shops are located in Naperville & Westmont. Proceeds from all sales provide help and hope to victims of domestic violence. For more information please click here.
Calling For Safety
Donate your old cell phone to support the critical programs of Family Shelter and help our environment. You may drop off your used cell phones at the resale shops in Naperville and Westmont.
